β€˜Suspicious' Substance is Powered Sugar

The substance was found in a letter delivered to a Princeton Township business.

Police say the white, powdery substance found in a letter delivered Monday to a Princeton Township business was just powdered sugar.

But it's not clear who sent the letter or why. And authorities say FBI and Homeland Security officials may join the investigation.

No injuries were reported.

In an unrelated incident, a hazardous materials team was later dispatched to University Medical Center at Princeton to investigate another suspicious material report. Hospital officials say an employee opened a box that contained an unfamiliar powder, which was still being tested late Monday afternoon.
