Philly Ties Record High on Christmas Eve

The city of Philadelphia celebrated Christmas Eve with a gift from Mother Nature -- record-tying mild temperatures.

The National Weather Service reports that the mercury hit 64 degrees on Dec. 24 at Philadelphia International Airport.

That tied the record for the date that was set in 1990.

Forecasters are predicting temperatures more than 10 degrees above normal for Christmas Day as well.

But that won't come close to the record high for Christmas Day, which is the 68 degrees recorded in 1968.
