Gunman Shoots, Kills Man in Mayfair Parking Lot

A man was shot and killed in a Mayfair parking lot Saturday night.

The 34-year-old man was in a parking lot on the 7200 block of Frankford Avenue at 8:22 p.m. when he got in an altercation with an unidentified suspect, police said. The suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking him once in the neck and once in the chest.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:27 p.m. A witness sent NBC10 a photo of a Philadelphia police officer hugging who he believed to be either a family member or friend of the victim.

No arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate.
