Philadelphia-Area Business Expanding Reach to Workers with Disabilities

A company with local offices is expanding its efforts to increase inclusion of workers with disabilities in the workplace.

Towers Watson, a global professional services company, will be creating a disability and inclusion pilot program in its Philadelphia-area offices, according to a release. The company has been collaborated with Specialisterne USA, a company that works to employ high-functioning autistic individuals.

“We’ve had very positive experiences in partnering with Specialisterne and are excited to expand our pilot program to the Philadelphia area,” Gail McKee, chief HR officer of Towers Watson, said in a release.

There are 10 open positions within the program. Applicants will be evaluated and selected during informational workshops where applicant will be introduced to the Specialisterne approach. Then, individuals with the interest and skills necessary will be invited to a four-week program in early 2016. Then, full-time employment offers will be given to the most qualified candidates.

Questions and resumes should be sent to contact.usa@specialisterne.com.
