Investigators worked into the night at the scene of the crash in Mantua Township.

A car struck a person in Mantua Township, N.J. leaving that pedestrian in critical condition.

It happened early Monday night on the 300 block of Bridgeton Pike. Police say a pedestrian was hit and taken to Underwood Memorial.

Investigators say the incident was not a hit-and-run and was being investigated by the County Prosecutor's Office.

Bridgeton Pike was shut down in both directions as officials investigated.
