Police Arrest Pennsylvania Man After 3-Hour Standoff

Pittsburgh police have arrested a wanted man after a three-hour standoff in the city's Perry North neighborhood.

Police said 30-year-old Calvin Brundidge barricaded himself inside an apartment at his old complex around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

SWAT officers and negotiators were called in about an hour later.

Officers used gas and a stun gun to subdue Brundidge and took him into custody around 10:45 p.m.

Police took Brundidge to Allegheny General Hospital for evaluation before jailing him.

They said he was wanted on warrants for failing to appear in court. They did not release information on any new charges.

A police spokeswoman said more information will be released once Brundidge is interviewed Wednesday.

Court records show he has three pending robbery cases.
