Cherry farmers in south central Pennsylvania say they're feeling the after effects of a couple cold nights in late March that froze the buds before they could pollinate.
The Evening Sun of Hanover reported this week that one nursery says it might just get 15 percent of a normal 60,000-pound crop. Boyer Nurseries also hasn't been able to offer pick-your-own fruit this year.
Raab Fruit Farms near Dallastown says the sweet cherry crop is bad but the sour cherry crop is worse.
They've got cherries at Blevins Fruit Farm near Stewartstown, but not many and they won't be there for long.
