Four Men Sentenced in Home Invasion That Killed 10-Year-Old Girl

Four men charged in a home invasion robbery attempt that led to the shooting death of a 10-year-old girl in western Pennsylvania last year have been sentenced to prison.

Nineteen-year-old Douglas Cochran Jr. was sentenced to 22 to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree murder, conspiracy and robbery on Monday as his trial was about to begin.

Twenty-nine-year-old Anthian Goehring was sentenced to 30 to 60 years on earlier third-degree murder, conspiracy and robbery pleas.

Twenty-one-year-old Malik Thomas was sentenced to four to eight years and 19-year-old Richard White to three to six years on earlier robbery and murder conspiracy pleas.

Prosecutors said the four planned to rob a man in Washington, Pennsylvania in March 2014, but shots fired through the apartment door killed 10-year-old Taniyah Thomas.
