One man is dead after a car accident Monday night on I-95.
It happened around 11:30 p.m on Northbound I-95 between the Girard and Allegheny Avenue exits in Port Richmond.
Police say Philadelphia Police Officer Scott McLane was driving while off-duty. Suddenly police say a man jumped from the left concrete barrier into the left lane and was struck by his car.
The man, between 25 to 30 years of age, was pronounced dead at the scene. McLane was taken to Hahnemann Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. No word yet on the victim’s identity.
