Man Pronounced Dead After Shooting

Pronounced dead at Jefferson Hospital early Sunday

Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place early Sunday morning.

Investigators say that the 32-year-old shooting victim was found with a wound in his chest in the 400 block of South 4th Street, near the intersection with South Lombard Street, shortly before 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

The man, whose name has not been released,  was taken to Jefferson University Hospital, where was pronounced dead.

Police say that they were unable to find any shell casings or a blood trail at the scene, which leads them to believe that the man was shot somewhere else. The investigation is ongoing.
