Man Charged With Murder in Fatal Beating at Trucking Company

Murder charges have been filed against a man accused of fatally beating a colleague at a southern New Jersey trucking company.

Camden County prosecutors say 44-year-old Antonio Cunningham was arrested Tuesday at a Camden residence. He's due to make his initial court appearance Wednesday.

Cunningham is charged in the death of 66-year-old Harry Hogans Jr., who was found unconscious Feb. 24 at the River Road Trucking Company in Camden. An autopsy determined he died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Authorities say both men lived at the business. Hogans worked there, while Cunningham performed odd jobs.

Prosecutors say Hogans was attacked shortly after he was given $500 in cash that was sorted into envelopes. He was supposed to distribute the money to truck drivers so they could pay tolls.
