Gloucester Township Police say two men tied up a woman at gunpoint inside her home and threatened to shoot her during an attempted robbery Saturday night.

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery around 9:50 p.m. at a home on Jefferson Drive in Laurel Springs. Investigators say the husband arrived home and found his wife in a back bedroom bound with zip ties with a pillow case over her head.

The woman told police she arrived home after 9:00 p.m. and walked to her bedroom, when two men, wearing ski masks and armed with black handguns appeared from a second bedroom. The men demanded jewelry and money, according to investigators. Police say the men then tied her hands and feet together then covered her head with a pillow case.

The woman was not seriously injured, according to police.

The suspects escaped out the rear of the residence, according to investigators.

Police say this was not a random act and that the victim was possibly targeted because of her employment at a local jewelry store.
