An elderly woman is dead after a fire in the Bridesburg section of the city.
It happened Sunday shortly before 6:30 p.m. at a home on the 2800 block of Hedley Street. When firefighters arrived they found a 92-year-old woman inside. She was pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the woman. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined.
