Drunk Bus Driver Crashes 3 Times in 1 Day: Cops

A drunk bus driver crashed a school bus in Egg Harbor Township, was given a second bus and crashed it twice, said police.

A bus driver was arrested by Egg Harbor Township Police on Wednesday after she was involved in three accidents involving two buses.

Officers say Maria Ortzman, 38, crashed an Egg Harbor Township Board of Education school bus in the Pleasant Woods Development, in the Farmington section of the township, just after 8 a.m. There were no children on board.

Ortzman called the bus company and was given another bus, said police. She crashed the second bus a short time later, kept driving and then hit a house on Rhodes Avenue, according to police. There were no children on this bus, according to police.

Ortzman was arrested at the scene of the last crash. She has been charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, careless driving, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.
