Diner en Blanc Transforms Art Museum, Rocky Steps into ‘Paris on the Parkway'

Rocky Balboa got a little taste of Diner en Blanc on Thursday night after the pop-up soiree took over the Philadelphia Museum of Arts for Diner en Blanc Philadelphia's fifth anniversary.

Since the city's first iteration of Diner en Blanc in 2012 took place at Logan Circle, hosting the fifth anniversary at the Art Museum was always the dream goal, co-host Natanya DiBona told the Philadelphia Business Journal as she walked back from the Art Museum Friday morning to make sure everything was in order after Thursday night.

"The first pictures Americans saw about this concept was in a New York Times article in 2012; the picture they used was the Louvre," DiBona said. "A lot of people had that in their head."

This year's event spanned the Ben Franklin Parkway along Eakins Oval and up the "Rocky steps" of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The museum's fountain on the east terrace set up as an homage to the first iteration of Diner en Blanc Philadelphia in Logan Circle.
