A warning for local residents who recently ate at a PF Chang’s restaurant in our area; your credit card information may have been stolen.
Rick Frederico, the CEO of the popular restaurant chain announced that there was a security breach at 33 P.F. Chang’s restaurants nationwide, including three in Pennsylvania and one in New Jersey.
On June 10, the US Secret Service alerted officials at P.F. Chang’s of a possible security compromise involving credit and debit card data reportedly stolen from several locations, which prompted an immediate investigation. The security compromise was quickly contained and restaurant officials have been processing the credit and debit card data securely since June 11.
Despite this, officials say that an intruder may have stolen the card number and in some cases, the cardholder’s name and expiration date from cards that were used in 33 restaurants prior to June 12. The following locations and times in which the data may have been compromised are included on the list:
|3545 US Highway 1||Princeton||NJ||2/21/2014 - 6/11/2014|
|10 Providence Town Center||Collegeville||PA||10/19/2013 - 6/11/2014|
|1600 Settlers Ridge Center Dr. Bldg. 1300||Pittsburgh||PA||4/10/2014 - 6/11/2014|
|983 Baltimore Pike||Glen Mills||PA||4/10/2014 - 6/11/2014|
Officials at P.F. Chang’s are encouraging anyone who may have been affected by the security breach to review their accounts for any unusual activity. They also created a hotline for further questions, available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. central time at 1-877-412-7152. Visit the PF Chang’s website for more information.
