British Want Philly Tech Companies to Expand to U.K.

    The British Consulate has expanded an awards program that wants to help Philadelphia-based technology startups build their international presence – specifically to the United Kingdom.

    British Consul General Danny Lopez was in town Wednesday to promote the GREAT Tech Awards, a program Prime Minister David Cameron launched last year. Lopez, who works out of New York, stopped by the Philadelphia Business Journal’s office, visited Old City-based co-working space Indy Hall and gave a chat at Philly New Tech Meetup at the Quorum in the University City Science Center.
