Caught on Cam: Home Invaders Brutally Attack 70-Year-Old Man

A man is fighting for his life after he was brutally beaten by two home invaders in an attack that was caught on surveillance video.

On Oct. 6 at 9:30 p.m., the two suspects knocked on the door of a home on the 800 block of Welton Street in the Somerton section of Philadelphia, police said. Once the 70-year-old homeowner opened the door, the two suspects pushed him inside and struck him over the head with a metal ASP. They then fled in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered a cracked skull, heavy brain bleeding and several staples to the left side of his head. He was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital where he is currently in critical condition.

The first suspect is described as a man in his mid-30’s standing 6-feet and weighing 230 pounds with a beard. He was last seen wearing a light-colored knit hat, light-colored hooded jacket and blue jeans. He was also armed with a dark-colored ASP.

The second suspect is described as a 55-year-old man standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light-colored zip-up jacket and blue jeans.
