Atlantic City Street Fight Leads to Stabbing: Police

Atlantic City police say a street fight between two men ended with one stabbed and the other facing charges.

But it's not clear what sparked the brawl, which occurred early Saturday in the area of Missouri Avenue and the Boardwalk.

Officers found the 28-year-old victim around 4:25 a.m., shortly after the stabbing was reported. The man had a stab wound to the torso and was taken to a hospital, but the injury was not considered life-threatening.

With the help of security staff at a nearby casino, police soon found 25-year-old city resident Oscar Hernandez several blocks away. He's charged with aggravated assault and two weapons counts.

Bail was set at $50,000 for Hernandez. It wasn't known Sunday if he has retained an attorney.
