A man pulled out a gun and announced a robbery in a family-owned pizza shop in Northeast Philadelphia just after midnight Wednesday.
Police said the suspect held up workers at the Pizza City on the 7100 block of Frankford Avenue in the city's Mayfair section before fleeing the scene with $1,000 from the store's registers and safe.
No one was injured.
An investigation is underway and anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is urged to contact police.
