Police have accused an airline worker of stealing cash from a passenger's wallet at a Newark Liberty International Airport checkpoint.
Port Authority police say a passenger discovered his wallet was missing $576 after he retrieved it from security screening in Terminal C on Monday morning.
Police reviewed surveillance footage. They arrested 52-year-old United Airlines ramp worker Joseph Bruno of Ridgefield and charged him with theft.
The money was returned to the passenger, who resumed his travel plans.
