Atlantic City Officials Call Out Gov. Christie Over $225K Severance Package

A New Jersey assemblyman is calling for Gov. Chris Christie to veto the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority's approval of a $225,000 severance package for its outgoing executive director.

Republican Assemblyman Chris Brown asked for Christie to reverse the decision made by the CRDA's board Tuesday – the same day the state said it would drop the $3,000 gifts the Municipal Utilities Authorities gives to its outgoing board members as part of its takeover, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Brown was one of several Atlantic City officials to criticize the state for allowing the $225,000 payout to go through while nitpicking at the $3,000 MUA gifts.
