Summer officially comes to an end on Saturday and Fall begins at 10:49 a.m. The change of season comes with a risk of severe storms.

NBC10 Chief Meteorologist Glenn "Hurricane" Schwartz says Saturday will start off with sunshine and warm temperatures in the low 80s.

But in the late afternoon, a cold front moves in bringing with it heavy rain, lightning and hail. Strong wind gusts could reach up to 35 miles per hour.

The storms will move fast, starting around 2 p.m. in the Lehigh County area.

The system moves over Philadelphia around 6 p.m., and hits the Jersey shore by 8 p.m.

Then it will really begin to feel like Fall on Sunday, with a drop in temperatures to the low 70s.

The work week begins with a chilly Monday morning, barely reaching 50 degrees.
