2 Men Wounded in Separate Shootings in Western Pa.

Pittsburgh police are investigating shootings Monday that left two men hospitalized.

Police say a 23-year-old man was wounded in the thigh and torso while standing outside his car around 9:30 p.m. in the city's Upper Hill District.

A 24-year-old man and 16-year-old boy inside the vehicle were not harmed. The 16-year-old was arrested on heroin possession charges.

Police say the passengers reported a man approaching the car and shooting the driver. He's listed in serious but stable condition at UPMC Presbyterian.

About 10 minutes later, an 18-year-old man was wounded in the upper thigh and grazed in the knee in the city's Mt. Washington section.

He's listed in stable condition at UPMC Mercy.

No arrests have been made in either case.
