Man Arrested After Barricading Self in Home

Police and SWAT officers have set up a staging area down the street from the home where the man is located.

An armed man was taken into custody after barricading himself in a Bensalem, Pa. home Thursday afternoon.
The situation happened in a home along Brookwood Road near Hulmville Road around 3:30 p.m., police said. Nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution and area schools were told to keep the children inside, police said.
The man blocked himself in the home after a domestic disturbance, police said.
SWAT officers took the suspect into custody around 6 p.m. No injuries were reported and no word on if he will be charged.
