Beach Water Quality Rankings were announced for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

Delaware's beaches rank first in water quality out of 30 states, according to the Natural Resources Defense Council.

The new report from the NRDC found just three-percent of water samples exceeded the national "Beach Action Value'' for 24 beach areas in 2013.

Dewey Beach is listed as a "superstar" beach for its water quality over several years.

New Jersey ranked third best beach water quality in the country and Pennsylvania ranked 22nd.

Rankings were based on the level of bacteria in ocean and lake waters.
