Robert Pattinson Avoids Talking Kristen Stewart Scandal on “Good Morning America”

While Robert Pattinson has certainly been out and about lately promoting his new movie Cosmopolis, the actor continues to remain pretty quiet when it comes to his personal life, namely the recent Kristen Stewart cheating scandal.

And his appearance today on Good Morning America was no exception, despite the best efforts of cohost George Stephanopoulos to get the actor to open up.

"I got to get the elephant in the room out of the way," Stephanopoulos said. "Everybody just wants to know, how are you doing? What do you want your fans to know about what's going on?"

"I mean, you know, they seem pretty excited about kind of whatever. I'd like my fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch only has 30 calories a bowl, for instance," Pattinson playfully replied, referring to the box of cereal Stephanopoulos had given him at the top of the interview.

And while the 26-year-old star opted to not directly address the so-called elephant, he did use the opportunity to comment on the attention paid to celebs like himself.

"It's a different thing. You get into it to do movies. I've never been interested in trying to sell my personal life and that's really the only reason people bring it up," Pattinson noted, adding: "I think if you get used to it I think you start going crazy. It's like being on the craziest theme park ride. It's totally exciting, but eventually, at some point you have to have a break."
