To bring a much-needed smile to weather-weary Philadelphians, Snackbar recently unveiled its new mid-winter menu.
Hardly surprising, the menu features many a braised dish, including slow-cooked lamb shoulder with smoked pappardelle and beef cheeks with chestnut purée. Drooling yet? There's also duck confit and a "Roaring 40s Burger" with Tazmanian blue cheese, figt-chipotle marmalade on a brioche bun. Smaller plates include smoked barley with black trumpet mushrooms and baby Brussels sprouts with baby golden beets (there actually are vegetables in winter!). Food like this makes us wish spring would never come!
