What I like about this look?
This lovely woman has provided us with an extremely comfortable, flattering, and professional look. Hopefully, everyone knows the feel of a jersey knit—super soft, super stretchy, and super non-wrinkly. Both her skirt and top are jersey. The cut of her top and skirt plays up her femininity by softly draping over her curves, and offers breathability in this summer heat. The neckline is open and relaxed, as are the sleeves, allowing air to pass between the fabric and her skin. Furthermore, jersey is quite forgiving and expands and shrinks with your body throughout the day (after lunchtime, it’s particularly gratifying). The deep grey blue of the skirt picks up the similar color within her top, imparting a sense of organization and clarity in her appearance, while the pattern helps to diversify the look a bit. The top also provide us with the uncommonly used color, mustard—which seems to be making a comeback this season. Lastly, she throws on a pair of pumps, giving her length in the leg, improvement in posture, and an extra dose of professionalism for work.

This ensemble is appropriate for the office, dining out for lunch or dinner, and attending dressy casual parties.
