Get a Pitching Lesson From Cole Himself

Sign your child up for pitching camp with the 2008 World Series MVP

Got a kid itching for pitching?

Well there’s a way to have your child learn from one of the better hurlers in baseball.

Phillies left-handed pitcher Cole Hamels is passing on a few tips from the mound on August 9 at FDR Park in South Philly.

The Cole Hamels Pitching Camp is five hours with professional pitchers on everything from exercises, types of pitches, nutrition and how “mental toughness” works in the game.

Not to mention, each child will get one-on-one instruction from Hamels himself, a signed baseball, a pitching clinic T-shirt and a personalized autographed picture of your child and the star.

“This clinic is more than just an experience with Cole,” said Cole's wife Heidi Hamels.

“We have had numerous letters from parents that tell us how this camp not only changed their child's pitching, it also changed their attitude towards life," said Mrs. Hamels.

The clinic will be split into two sessions: the first from 7:30 a.m. to noon for ages 9 through 13 and the second from 1:30 to 6 p.m. for ages 9 through 19. All proceeds go to the Hamels Foundation's mission to support quality education in schools and work to establish a school in Africa.

In 2010, the Hamels Foundation gave more than $900,000 to six inner-city Philadelphia schools.

Tickets for this all-star session will cost you $300 per child -- click here to register.
