New Castle County Police have charged a husband and wife after a samurai sword, a machete and other knives were found in their car during a traffic stop.
Kent and Nichole Buckson are each charged with carrying a concealed deadly instrument and possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited.
They are being held on secured bond. Police say the Bucksons' vehicle was stopped early Wednesday in the Sparrow Run Townhouses.
Police say during a search of the vehicle, a samurai sword with a 28-inch blade, a machete with an 18-inch blade, two knives with seven-inch blades, a small hunting knife, numerous small pocket knives and a hunting bow were found.
Police say both Bucksons are convicted felons who are barred from possessing weapons.
