Enjoy Soup from Your Boots

Local aspiring comedians create spoof of new product

Are you looking for a brand new way to enjoy some delicious soup this winter? Has a fresh “bowl” of boot soup come to mind? We didn’t think so.

A new viral video from a local comedic duo has taken the YouTube audience by storm.

Matt Isenberg and Dave Metter from Exton, Pa., created the spoof video as a way to test pair’s comedic writing skills and it's quickly sending them to viral video infamy.

The Soup Boot "commercial" boasts that the new product is "the first soup to come with a boot and the first boot to come with a soup."

According to the video, you can enjoy your soup boot anywhere from a sporting event to an intimate evening with your loved one. Mmm -- nothing says romance like sharing soup from a rubber boot.

Why? Even its creators aren't really sure.

"Just one day the idea came to me and I thought it sounded funny together," said writer Dave Metter, but his buddy wasn't as enthusiastic.

"I thought it was one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard," Matt Isenberg, the production counterpart said.

But Metter pressed on anyway creating the jingle with another friend. He says a commercial came up after a few friends loved the song.

For those of you that are a little skeptic about wearing a soup filled boot rest assured you eat the soup first and then wear the boot.

Don’t worry this isn’t a new product coming to the market…at least it isn’t yet.

With close to 3,000 views after only one week of being posted the Soup Boot is creating a buzz among comedy video lovers around the country.

Who knows we could be on the verge of a new as seen on TV product bigger than the ShamWow and the Snuggie.
