The Picks: Jets at Eagles

It’s that time of week. Time to man up and make your pick for this week’s game. Get it right, and you'll be able to afford everything on your Christmas wish list: the Brookstone taco warmer, the velvet duvet cover, the monkey that downloads music from MegaUpload for you, the HD digital aquarium, the custom gumball machine, EVERYTHING. Here we go:

Peter King: Jets 21, Eagles 16. "DeSean Jackson is playing for redemption -- and a rich 2012 deal. Somewhere." MAYBE.

Six of 10 ESPN Experts: Eagles. Gahhhhhh! That's too many! They're back to overrating Philly again!

Yahoo! Users: Jets. (no score)

Mike Silver: Jets. (no score)

Pete Prisco (CBS): Eagles.

AJ Daulerio: Eagles.

Index Card I Threw Up In The Air With The Name Of Each Team On Either Side, Seeing Which Team Would Land Face Up:
Eagles. (Card Record: 7-6)

The Wife:
Jets.

Me:
A quick refresher for you: In order for the Eagles to remain in contention for the NFC East title, they must win this game and then hope that either the Cowboys or Giants lose. If that happens, they remain a shockingly viable NFC East contender. And isn't it just like Andy Reid to string you along to the very end, getting your hopes up that this team could miraculously get its act together before turning back around and STABBING YOU IN THE HEART? I feel like that's his calling card. As for the Jets, they've won three in a row against terrible opponents. I am not convinced of their meastiness. I'm picking the Eagles, and I deeply regret this pick already. EAGLES 15, JETS 10. (2011 picks: 7-6)
