The innocence of children can always put something into perspective, right? Abigail, a second-grader from West Chester, Pa. gets it.
The lasting moment of the Eagles loss to the Saints is the photo of Nick Foles consoling Alshon Jeffery after his drop led to the game-ending interception. Did the play hurt the team's chances to win? Could the Eagles have won had Jeffery made the play? Sure, but as Abigail points out, Jeffery is a big reason the Eagles won the Super Bowl last year and catching a football is tough.
Dear @TheWorldof_AJ, our second grade daughter is a huge fan and wrote you a letter in school yesterday. @Eagles #FlyEaglesFly #Eagles 🦅🦅 pic.twitter.com/N3bx7xLlQl— Raymond Johnson (@RaymondJ17) January 15, 2019
Every now and again we'll see messages from kids to athletes, but in times like this, when a season is on the line, it's awesome to see someone so young have so much perspective.
We hope Alshon sees this, along with the thousands of other messages of support, after Sunday's loss and knows how his one mistake won't change what's he's done for our favorite football team.
