Smith, who was the No. 16 pick in the 2018 NBA draft, was acquired by the Sixers along with Miami's 2021 first-round pick when they shipped No. 10 selection Mikal Bridges to Phoenix.
The high-flying Smith averaged 11.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game during his lone season at Texas Tech. He shot 55.6 percent from the field and 45.0 percent from three-point range as he was named to the Big 12 All-Newcomer team.
