Baseball, pro wrestling, patriotism and G.I. Joe -- four things that normally don't coincide will all be sharing the stage in the area for one night only this summer.
All the hoopla will happen in August when the Wilmington Blue Rocks welcome Robert Remus to Frawley Stadium.
Robert who?
Oh yeah, Remus is better known as Sgt. Slaughter. The legendary WWE pro wrestler forever immortalized as a G.I. Joe action figure and TV star.
Slaughter will be in Wilmington to meet and greet fans as part of the Blue Rocks' military night.
The patriotism is sure to overshadow the baseball with Slaughter in the house. There is no word on whether he plans on using his signature move, the Cobra Clutch, on any American haters.
You gotta love those minor league baseball promotion nights.

Besides the wrestling legend, the night will feature tributes to G.I. Joe, USO Delaware and Dover Air Force Base personnel, according to the Blue Rock's Web site.
Slaughter will be whipping Delaware into shape on Saturday, August 1.
