Flyers general manager Ron Hextall is making headway through his restricted free agents, the final responsibilities on the offseason agenda.
Taylor Leier is the latest RFA to re-sign with the Flyers, as the forward on Friday inked a one-year, two-way deal worth $807,000,
The deal was first reported by Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports on Thursday night.
Leier, 23, recorded a goal and an assist in 10 games with the Flyers last season, even seeing a brief stint on the team's top line. The 2012 fourth-round pick was an AHL All-Star and finished the season with 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists) and a plus-10 rating in 48 games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
In 2015-16, Leier made his NHL debut, going scoreless in six games with the Flyers. That year, the winger set career highs at the AHL level, posting 20 goals and 29 assists in 71 games at Lehigh Valley.

Leier is expected to open the 2017-18 season with the Phantoms but should be a reliable option for the Flyers if injuries arise.
Hextall has taken care of other RFAs Mike Vecchione and Scott Laughton, while Roman Lyubimov decided to return to the KHL. So the Flyers' remaining RFAs left unsigned are forward Cole Bardreau and goalies Alex Lyon and Anthony Stolarz.
