Falcons Rookie Cuts Off His Green Dreads to Face Eagles

Thanks to Atlanta Falcons rookie Takkarist McKinley today I learned I may be color blind.

The rookie defensive end out of UCLA had a big game against the Los Angeles Rams this weekend, with a couple of tackles and a big sack of Jared Goff, helping Atlanta move on to face the Eagles this coming weekend in Philadelphia.

Oh, and McKinley had to get a hair cut for the occasion.

Thanks to his Twitter account, via FTW, we learned that McKinley had to cut his dreadlocks because they were dyed green. Well, sort of.

"The green got to go.. we got philly coming up!" he wrote, complete with #riseup hashtag. He included a video of the barbershop and a photo of the aftermath.

Now, this is when I learned I may be color blind. To me, those dreads look closer in color to the Jacksonville Jaguars hamburger buns than the Eagles uniforms.

Here's a closer look at the BEFORE. Judge for yourself because you won't be able to see that hair come Sunday.

Casual fans likely remember McKinley from his emotional speech after getting drafted back in April.
