Eagles Release Fan Favorite Rasheed Bailey, Roster at 79

The Eagles have waived wide receiver Rasheed Bailey.

A fan favorite, Bailey was with the Eagles during training camp and preseason in 2015 but was released before the start of the season. He then bounced around from the Jaguars to Chargers and back to the Eagles.

The local product of Roxborough High School signed a futures deal with the Eagles in January, but didn't make it to OTAs with the Birds this spring. The Eagles selected two receivers in the NFL draft.

With the Bailey cut, the Eagles roster sits at 79 players, 11 short of the 90-man limit.

Expect the team to announce undrafted free agent signings within the next day or so, leading up to the start of rookie minicamp on Friday.
