Sixers' Investigation Into Colangelo Will Wrap Up Soon

It has been six days since that bombshell report from The Ringer dropped. And we still don't know how the Bryan Colangelo Twitter account saga will end.

Although we should know soon enough.

The Sixers' internal investigation into Colangelo and the burner accounts should wrap up by mid-week, NBC Sports Philadelphia has learned.

That means that one of the wildest stories we've seen in decades is finally nearing a conclusion as the draft and free agency approach.

On Friday, ESPN reported the Sixers were seriously considering firing Colangelo, who holds the title president of basketball operations. According to ESPN, Colangelo is "fighting for his professional life."

"The probe hasn't been completed - and a final decision has yet to be rendered - but the fallout a report by The Ringer that connected Twitter accounts unleashing privileged information and provocative attacks surrounding the Sixers has left ownership flushed with embarrassment and anger - and Colangelo fighting for his professional life, league sources said," the report states.
