The Sixers' first trip to Brooklyn is a stop they'd like to forget. The Nets took 40 more shots than the Sixers, which included a 41-point Brooklyn third quarter and a 70-40 points in the paint advantage. On top of that, the Sixers committed 28 turnovers.

"That is not who we are," Brett Brown said after the game, "an unacceptable performance."

Pride is on the line tonight. Let's see what the Sixers do.

Man-to-man

The Sixers have struggled in both man-to-man coverage and defending the pick-and-roll. We saw it against the Cavaliers Friday night and we saw it against D'Angelo Russell, Caris LeVert and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson three weeks ago. LeVert is out with a dislocated right foot, but tonight will be another test for Philly's defense. Brooklyn is second in the league in drives per game, which is something the Sixers will need to watch out for. In their first matchup, the Nets just kept attacking until something opened up, and it eventually did.

JoJo

In their last matchup, Joel Embiid's field goal attempts were a hot topic, as he only had eight of them. On top of that, Embiid finished with just five paint touches and eight post-ups. Granted Nets' center Jarrett Allen ranks as the sixth-best rim protector in the league, with a defensive field goal percentage at the rim of just 50.4, but Embiid's got to get more than eight shots for the Sixers to win this game.
