Ben Simmons Dunks on Would-be Instagram Troll

The Ben Simmons vs. Donovan Mitchell debate is so last year.

Both players had fantastic rookie seasons but only Mitchell took the lobbying for Rookie of the Year award to petty levels by wearing the "Rookie?" gear Adidas made for him waaay too much.

Simmons, for the most part, took the high road with a modicum of shade thrown in for good measure.

And then Ben took home the award anyway.

That should be the end of that story, right? You don't know how petty NBA fans are.

One fan had his photo taken with Ben either before or after Monday's Sixers win over the Detroit Pistons while wearing one of those silly "Rookie?" shirts. The caption to the photo reads, "Safe to say, Ben wasn't happy about the shirt."

But then our boy Ben showed up in the comments and did what Ben does best: dunked on the dude.

"It's fine man, I know it was on sale."
