Manny Machdo was seen walking into the Chicago White Sox stadium, driving into Yankee Stadium, but that's nothing like his Philly arrival.
Manny Machado has arrived in Philadelphia!
• He stopped to take a photo with a construction worker who told him to "Do the right thing and sign."
• The door to CBP was locked.

Machado exited his car and was immediately met by a man named Tom, who snagged a photo and told him to "Do the right thing and sign."
Listen to Tom, Manny.
Tom Cudeyro, 57, is a union electrician who was working across the street and on lunch break. "Yeah, he could go to New York and be everywhere," he said of Machado. "But if he comes here, he's beloved forever." pic.twitter.com/5FIuZFavsJ — Matt Gelb (@MattGelb) December 20, 2018

Machado walked up to the door which, somehow, was locked. He then waited awkwardly for Phillies general manager Matt Klentak to open the door, along with manager Gabe Kapler, Phillies owner John Middleton, and others, who then, again awkwardly waited for the elevator to close.
Welcome to Philadelphia, Manny. This may not have been the perfect arrival, but it felt the most real, the most authentic. The Phillies are probably showing him around the stadium he could call home for the next decade, a look at the beautiful clubhouse or the indoor batting cages. They'll probably also sit down in a conference room, perhaps the one adjacent to the display of the team's two World Series trophies and go over numbers.
It's rare to have a legitimate shot at free agent of Machado's caliber, but today is the Phillies' day and they're going all out to bring a talented baseball player, and a lot of fan hype, to Citizens Bank Park.
