Shayne Gostisbehere Day to Day With Bone Bruise on Hand

Shayne Gostisbehere missed Sunday night's game against the Detroit Red Wings and is day-to-day, according to Flyers general manager Ron Hextall.

Gostisbehere suffered a bone bruise in his right hand after taking a shot off his hand in the second period during Saturday's 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars. Gostisbehere left the game for X-rays, but returned to the game in the third period.

The Flyers said Saturday they would monitor Gostisbehere's hand before the Red Wings' game to see if the swelling would prevent wearing his glove comfortably (see story). On Sunday, they deemed the injury serious enough to keep him out. Michael Del Zotto replaced Gostisbehere in the lineup Sunday night.

In five of his last six games, Gostisbehere has five assists. Overall, he has four goals and 16 points in 29 games.
