The Eagles were idle last week but still moved up in this week's NFC power rankings.
Let's take a look at this week's rankings:
1. Saints (7-1) Last week: 2
This was pretty simple. The two best teams in the NFC faced off Sunday, and the Saints won. They've earned the top spot in the NFC rankings thanks to a game that could very well be an NFC Championship Game preview.
2. Rams (8-1) Last week: 1
The Rams staged a furious comeback to tie the game at 35-35 after being down at one point 35-14. But then they let the Saints score the last 10 points of the game and win at the Superdome.
3. Panthers (6-2) Last week: 3
Cam Newton and the Panthers got up early on the slipping Bucs and never looked back, beating them 42-28. Christian McCaffrey had 157 yards from scrimmage and Newton had a great game.
4. Vikings (5-3-1) Last week: 5
Minnesota cruised past the now floundering Lions, 24-9. The Vikings never trailed.
5. Bears (5-3) Last week: 6
I know they were just playing the lowly Bills, but the Bears put up 41 points in a blowout.

6. Eagles (4-4) Last week: 7
No, the Eagles didn't play last week, but they did go out and make what might be the most consequential trade of the deadline by acquiring Golden Tate. That move and the eventual return of Tim Jernigan gives the Eagles a bump.
7. Redskins: (5-3) Last week: 4
Not only did Washington get smoked, 38-14, by Atlanta, but it also lost three starters to season-ending injuries. That offensive line is in shambles thanks to injuries.
8. Packers (3-4-1) Last week: 8
The Packers lost to the Patriots, proving that the Packers aren't as good as the Patriots. Well, we already knew that.
9. Falcons (4-4) Last week: 11
The Falcons are still third in their division behind the Saints and Panthers, but maybe they can still make a run at a wild-card spot. Matt Ryan threw four touchdowns against Washington.
10. Seahawks (4-4) Last week: 9
Seattle lost to the L.A. Chargers, but at least it was respectable - 25-17. This Seattle team has a 4-4 record and is actually in the fight for a wild-card spot.
11. Lions (3-5) Last week: 10
This season started with so much promise in Detroit, but it's been a weird year so far. Now, they traded Tate and lost to the Vikings. Trading a player like Tate this season, can't do wonders for that team's confidence.
12. Buccaneers (3-5) Last week: 12
They got crushed by the Panthers, as expected. At least Ryan Fitzpatrick threw four touchdown passes.
13. Cowboys (3-5) Last week: 13
Things are starting to get ugly for the Cowboys. They had an early chance to put away the Titans but then ended up losing by two touchdowns.
14. Cardinals (2-6) Last week: 14
The good news for the Cardinals is that they had a bye week and dumped Sam Bradford. The bad news is they play the Chiefs in Arrowhead on Sunday.
15. 49ers (2-7) Last week: 15
San Francisco actually crushed the Raiders, who have become the worst team in the league, this week. But I can't put them above the Cardinals; they've lost twice to them already.
16. Giants (1-7) Last week: 16
The Giants found a way to not lose this week. They didn't play. A big matchup against the 49ers this week. We'll call it the Battle of the Bad.
