A New Look at the Union's Home

Take a look at the soon-to-be-reality stadium

The Philadelphia Union took some time away from training in the snow Tuesday to show off what their home should look like.

The MLS’ newest team sent out an artist’s rendering of their new home on the Chester, Pa. waterfront.

The team already reveled that the stadium would hold about 18,500 fans for soccer and 26,000 for concerts, but this latest picture gave fans an idea of how the place would fit everyone.

Looks like the stadium should be about one deck all the way around with a promenade at the top. The stadium, positioned right by the Commodore Barry Bridge, would be rounded off at each end.

It also looks like there will be large promenades around the stadium -- should allow for some cool pregame festivities.

The Union kickoff in March on the road and their first home game will be at the Linc in April. The team plans on playing a few games at the Linc while finishing touches are put on the stadium but at some point during the year they will call this yet-to-be-named stadium home.

Take a look at the photo and share what you think of the new digs.
