"There should be more credibility than some 42-year-old blogger typing in his mother's basement. It demeans everything you've done with one stroke of the pen," Ibanez told the Inky.

"You can have my urine, my hair, my blood, my stool -- anything you can test," Raul Ibanez tells the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Phillies left fielder is fuming after an internet blogger floated the notion that Ibanez' stellar performance may be more than God-given.

"It's unfair because this story should be about how hard work, determination, and desire trumps chemicals and shortcuts," he said. "That should be the message: desire, character, work ethic. But some guy who doesn't know me -- one idiot -- says something like this. They should be held accountable. It's cowardly."

Philly columnist Gonzo wrote about how the blogger's post took off like wildfire on the web. Before the Phils-Mets game Monday night, an angry Ibanez said he's never used performance-enhancing drugs. He said he wasn't surprised by the rumor, but was upset and promised to "come after people who defame or slander me. It's pathetic and disgusting. There should be some accountability for people who put that out there."

Ibanez, 37, went into last night's game with 54 RBIs which ties him for the top spot this season. He was in second place with 19 home runs.
