Powerful deep sea sonar equipment is likely to be deployed soon in the search for Flight MH370 as other efforts in the Indian Ocean have yielded no clues, Australia's defense minister David Johnston said Wednesday. The side-scan commercial sonar equipment is similar to the remote-controlled subs that found RMS Titanic 12,500 feet under the Atlantic Ocean in 1985. The next phase of the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines jet is likely to be announced next week.
