An Arizona judge on Thursday set a July 18 hearing for convicted killer Jodi Arias to determine whether she will face a new jury in the penalty phase of her trial for the slaying of her ex-boyfriend, Reuters reported. Arias was found guilty of stabbing Phoenix-area man Travis Alexander multiple times, slashing his throat and shooting him in the face, but the jury who convicted her and ruled her eligible for the death penalty failed to reach a consensus on whether she should be executed.
