Clinton Rules Out 2nd Term at State, Presidential Run

Hillary Clinton said Wednesday she wouldn’t serve a second term as secretary of state if President Obama was reelected, and she’s ruled out ever running again for president herself. In an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Clinton also shot down future positions as secretary of defense and vice president. For each question she used the one-word answer: "No." When told “a lot of folks” would like her to run for president again in 2016, Clinton said: “Well that's very kind, but I am doing what I want to do right now and I have no intention or any idea even of running again.” Foreign Policy reports Clinton’s exit would open the door to a shortlist of possible successors that includes Sen. John Kerry, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, Deputy Secretary of State Jim Steinberg, and Sen. Richard Lugar.
